Harissa Spiced Beef Koftas

BBQ season at the ready! Quick to make, and will get eaten by your friends and family even quicker!


  • 700g Lean beef mince (can use lamb mince if you prefer)
  • 2 tbsp. Shemin’s Harissa Spice Blend (Can also use Shemin’s Tandoori, Cajun, Jerk, Peri Peri, Ras El Hanout and BBQ Spice Blends)
  • 1 tbsp. Crushed garlic
  • 1 tbsp. Crushed ginger
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 1 Small bunch coriander, chopped
  • 1 Egg, beaten


  1. Thoroughly mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. Leave to marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight if possible.
  2. Preheat the grill and divide the mixture into evenly sized koftas.
  3. Put the koftas under the grill or on the BBQ, and cook for 7-8 minutes until browned, then turn over and cook for a further 7-8 minutes until thoroughly cooked through.
  4. Serve with a salad, warmed pittas and houmous.
