We mix and grind the perfect blend of fresh herbs and spices, then immediately blend them with sunflower oil. This way the ground spices and herbs are caught at their freshest, enabling you to easily make traditional curries and mouth-watering marinades to add a lovely spicy twist to your cooking.

    Only discovered Shemins a few weeks ago and wow what a difference it has made to my curries using the mild paste in a chicken korma which was delicious the medium paste in a lamb bhuna also delicious can’t rate these paste high enough

    Discovered Shemins over the weekend via James Martin on YouTube, whilst looking for an easy but tasty curry recipe. I had completely given up on trying to cook curries from scratch as they were always awful after so much effort. Having to cook now for my 84 year old mum who is from Guyana and only loves curries, I have had to go back to trying to do them once more in order to keep her eating properly. Being absolutely fed up with hearing “Hey gal, what on earth is this?” I ended up with the afore mentioned James Martin.

    On the day the delivery arrived, I had a hectic day with the also afore mentioned “Mother” and arrived back home worn out but starving hungry. I immediately thought of the pastes in the fridge as they were supposed to be “so easy”
    I used a tin of corned beef in the fridge, some diced potatoes and green beans in conjunction with the mild curry paste. The smell was wonderful and corned beef never tasted so good!!!

    My husband who cannot eat curries, as anything spicy gives him chronic, painful indigestion, came out to the kitchen to ask what the lovely smell was. I nearly fainted. He normally drives me to murder by sticking his head round the door and saying “what’s that stink. Is there an electrical fire?”

    Here’s the best bit. He ate most of my dinner. He still had indigestion but he loved it! The curry that is.

    I am looking forward to using the other pastes I have bought.

    I must thank Shemins so much. I suffer from chronic fatigue and get worn out really badly. Cooking for Mum now, takes it’s toll as I batch cook a week at a time for her. It is now so much easier with Shemins pastes.

    Any sceptics out there? This is one purchase you will not regret.

    I have just made the slow cooked lamb curry in my slow cooker. Oh my word!!!! It was absolutely delicious my husband said it was the best ever. I marinaded it for 36 hours (not intentionally) it’s amazing how something so easy to cook can be so easy to make. Don’t ever stop making them please.
